Campaign Update: Approaching 5000 Signatures & Call to Action!

A massive thank you to everyone who has signed and supported the petition so far—we have passed 4,500 signatures and are approaching 5000. Your support keeps this movement growing, so please continue sharing the petition across your networks.

This success wouldn’t have been possible without local school parent groups and community advocates sharing across local networks to help amplify the message. Thank you to everyone who has shown support, and especially those who have generously contributed their time, publicity efforts, media outreach, and invaluable connections to key decision-makers to help keep this momentum going.

Call to Action: Write to Merri-bek Councillors

The Merri-bek City Council has yet to reach an official position on the future of the Don Bosco Youth Centre. We need community members to write to our local councillors, requesting that they meet promptly and pass a motion in support of keeping the centre in community hands.

What We Are Working On Next

Behind the scenes, supporters are actively reaching out to the Victorian Government as well as key community sector organisations to seek their formal backing. We will keep you posted as soon as we have further progress to report.
