Thank you for your continued support of our Elementary and Wilson families. CISD trustees voted 4-3 to close Pinkerton Elementary during their Sept. 30 meeting, but gave CISD administration time to explore other options for DLI. Then during a workshop on October 9th, the trustees stated they did not want to explore any other options. CISD’s superintendent confirmed that Wilson was the proposed option for IB because of its proximity to Pinkerton. The time and consideration given to IB and Pinkerton would not be provided to Wilson and DLI.
This is unacceptable.
The board is planning a special session October 21, when they may make the final decision. More details to follow.
