Thank you for your email, which updates VP Sanai's previous statement to me that the Student Association had been looking into selling Dippikill "for the past six or seven months."
We will interpret your email as a potential sale of Dippikill is no longer on the table and advise the other 18 members of our SA Presidents' Coalition and the broader 1200 member SA Alumni Society on social media.
We would like to hereby formally file the Save Dippikill petition with you and SA that calls for Dippikill to be reopened. It now has 500 signatures and continues to grow daily.
Lastly, we would still like to help Dippikill through our proposed UAlbany Fund Former SA Presidents' Coalition Dippikill Appeal.
All we need is a UAlbany Fund link from Dan Doyle, copied here, that is programmed to be earmarked directly to Dippikill and we will take it from there.
A copy of this email will be posted as an update on the petition that shares the partial good news that SA no longer intends to sell Dippikill.
We have planned a phone lobby campaign for SA alumni to share their concerns with Student Association about the closure set for January 22, 2025. Please advise if Dippikill is re-opened before then as that would make the matter moot.

Dear Mr. Lamb,
I am writing in response to your inquiry regarding the potential sale of Dippikill. At this time, the University at Albany has no information that would lead us to believe that Dippikill is being considered for sale. Additionally, Student Association leadership has informed us that they have no plans to sell Dippikill.

Now that both the University at Albany and the Student Association have told the Albany Times Union a Dippikill sale is off the table, should the Office of University Advancement set up the proposed Dippikill UAlbany Fund link for an SA Presidents' Coalition Dippikill Appeal Fundraiser to help with Dippikill finances so we can get Dippikill reopened?
