Thank you, ERROL MORRIS, for signing the Petition to Save Crema. We leapt for joy when we went onto the Petition website minding our own business (which is never) and we saw this legendary documentary filmmaker's name there, having signed 13 minutes prior.  We are sorta obsessed with Errol, who is behind, for instance: 

THE THIN BLUE LINE- his film successfully argued that a man was wrongly convicted for murder by a corrupt justice system in Dallas County, Texas. 

STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURE - A picture taken at Abu Ghraib set shockwaves through the world. The woman who took it--what was behind that smile? 

AMERICAN DHARMA: A portrait of controversial political strategist and former Donald Trump advisor, Stephen K. Bannon, HBS grad, starring none other than Stephen K. Bannon.

We can't help but speculate that Errol feeds off the unique energy of Harvard Square, sitting in Crema by the front window, or outside on a warm day, smiling to himself as he heard the bellowing laughter of CLICK&CLACK the TAPPET BROS.  

Yet the character, energy, vitality of the Square is slowly slipping away, its pulse is weakening. We have to check this tidal wave that is taking out small businesses.
