Lack of heritage protection for shops north of Albion Street Brunsick

A new development.  Investigations reveal limited protection for historical shops north of Albion Street Brunswick.  A piecemeal approach has led to a number of commercial and retail buildings missing out on a heritage overlay. Delays in assessment by Merri-bek Council (presumably due to a lack of resources to undertake these) mean that a significant amount of the area’s economic and social history is under real threat.
