Thank You for Fighting to Keep Vacation Rentals in Cicero!

Over the past few days, we've seen an incredible uptick in signatures.

We have a week until the December 14th meeting. I encourage each and every one of you to come and stand up for your right to responsibly use and rent your property. The Town is expressly interested in hearing from Cicero residents.

While the Town has offered up an outright ban throughout the vast majority of the town, other Finger Lakes communities have taken up reasonable regulations on renting vacation homes. We think there is a way to address the isolated excesses that can occur, without collectively punishing property owners who contribute to the community through property taxes, occupancy taxes, and maintaining beautiful neighborhoods. 

The Town of Geneva has a very reasonable law that addresses the concerns of all in the community with a balanced approach. It's unfortunate that similar alternatives have not been seriously considered by the Town of Cicero. There are serious economic implications for the Town and County if a ban were to be adopted.
