🚨Update Attorney General Ken Paxton now has a criminal referral and request for Pro Tem prosecutor! This is the open door he needs ❤️

For years I  asked Matagorda County officials to act and protect my daughter and I. My own suffering pales to that of my  daughter, who, after coming into contact with my ex, endured injuries during nearly every visit, with one visit alone, during Christmas, returned with over 40 injuries including signs of strangulation and blunt force trauma. Her cries of abuse went unheard and were dismissed by Matagorda County officials, even when faced with overwhelming evidence. This failure of the system to protect us is a grave injustice and cannot continue.

Matagorda County District Attorney Steven Reis, along with other officials, have consistently refused to prosecute violent crimes against women and children. Instead, they have actively obstructed justice by stonewalling efforts to obtain critical records, covering up their misconduct. This abhorrent behavior has resulted in the Texas Attorney General's Office gaining jurisdiction over our case under the Texas Public Information Act (TPIA), specifically under provision 3215. Update a request for pro tem prosecution has been received by the OAG* 10/2026 

We call upon Attorney General Ken Paxton to utilize the jurisdiction granted under TPIA 3215 to pursue prosecution against these rogue officials, particularly DA Steven Reis. It is unacceptable for those in power to ignore the suffering of victims by failing to prosecute violent offenders. Their actions have allowed perpetrators to walk free, perpetuating a cycle of violence and trauma.

This is not just about my daughter and me; it’s about every woman and child in Matagorda County who has been silenced by a justice system that chooses negligence over accountability. We demand transparency, accountability, and justice from our legal system.

Rogue DAs and the lack of prosecutorial oversight is a scourge on Texas, the door is open for our AG to show why this oversight is desperately needed, not just for election crimes, but for our children.
