The Auckland Council draft Auckland Golf Investment Plan could see some of Auckland’s much-loved golf courses, including Chamberlain Park, closing, being converted to housing, or being substantially downgraded in regards to the golfing amenities and facilities they currently offer.

Leading mayoral race candidate Wayne Brown has strongly voiced his support of golf, as has fellow candidate Craig Lord.
