Thank you to everyone who participated in the September Community Conversations; we appreciate your honest and transparent dialogue and look forward to gathering together again in October.
Join our October Community Conversation
Please join our next Community Conversation on October 10 from 5-6:30 p.m. at Campbell. Interpretation services, food, and childcare will be provided. We are preparing an agenda for this conversation to best meet the needs of our community.
Opportunity for Public Comment with the Board of Education (BoE)
Every school recommended for closure will have a one-hour public hearing with the BoE prior to the vote.
Our public hearing is scheduled for November 2 from 6-7 p.m. at Oberon Middle School. Each speaker will have three minutes and it is estimated that time will allow for 15 speakers. There will be live interpreters available so that people can speak and listen in their native language. We encourage those who wish to speak to bring their comments in writing. All written comments, regardless of whether they are shared verbally during the public comment session, will be shared with each BoE member. You can also address the BoE at any of their upcoming regular meetings on October 20 or November 10. Sign up opens five days prior to each meeting. Learn more about providing public comment here.
