Hello petitioners! An important update:
KCPS Board Meeting, Today at 5pm
There is a KCPS board meeting this evening, at 5pm. It is possible they will in fact be taking the vote to go into contract to sell the school and its land at this meeting. Five of the seven school board members need to vote to sell school land. We might be able to stop that if we can simply convince three of the school board members to pause, listen to objections, and consider the viable alternatives that are on the table. If you could contact members of the board or even show up at the meeting and request to speak, that would definitely help. Here is the requisite information:

The Bryant Deserves Better Committee will also be bringing this petition to the attention of the board. Our goal was to have at least 200 signatures before they meet, and we are happily already far past that - we in fact have far more respondents than the community survey upon which they are purportedly basing this decision - but the more signatures and comments we have before their meeting, the better.
