Hello Save Brocks Beach supporters,

Even if the Romanin/Beachwood Development Inc project seems to be on hold, for now, Thank you mainly to NVCA for requesting the developer to respect the coastal wetlands and submit a new draft, which he still has not doe,  the fight is not over and we need to keep alert.

Therefore, as it is Municipal Election time, best time to get support from politicians, I’ve been active contacting Wasaga Beach candidates to 2022 municipal elections, asking them to sign our Save Brocks Beach petition and inviting them to take a walk-about tour of the Brocks Beach area and around the development site, and some did.

Here is the list of the candidates who did sign the petition (last name Alphabetic Order) :

Candidates for Mayor: Leslie Farkas, Giorgio Mammoliti, Brian Smith
Candidates for Deputy Mayor: Ilona Matthews, Tanya Snell
Candidates for Councilor: Joe Belanger, Sasha Rose Dileo, Faye Ego, Ellen Timms, Richard White.

I believe signing the petition and supporting our fight is a very strong statement from these candidates, as once elected and sitting on Council we can hold them accountable, and we should be grateful.

Meanwhile I recommend you take this into consideration when casting your vote, and support the candidates who support you. I cast my vote electronically today.

And remember you can and should vote, whatever you are a permanent resident or a secodary residerence property owner in Wasaga Beach, as you can vote both in the municipality of your primary and secondary residences, and you can vote electronically; municipal election is the one which has the more direct impact on your day-to-day life and environment.

VOTE

Post Scriptum : just a reminder that you still can and should promote to your friends and relatives the Save Brocks Beach petition, which has now 2305 signatures, the more the better. https://chng.it/VTJsnQbFCR
