My dearest friends and supporters:
time is of the absolute essence. First, I want to thank you for signing the petition, to date so far more than 34 people have signed it, but we need a whole lot more in order for our mission to be heard and seen. I need to advise you about what’s about to happen, they have decided to close this vital institution of americana at the end of business day forever on December 31, 2022. If they do, there will be no chance of us saving this very important piece of history.
So, I say, again, time is of the absolute essence. I’m going to ask a very giant big favor now, if you can kindly, please spread the message about this petition to anyone who lives in the Bergen county area or across the country to help us save this very important piece of history and for us to try to convince the family of this owner, who began this institution in 1934 to allow a new group of people to run it in a great way, it would be a very important help to us all. A group of us have decided that we want to get bischoffs so we can be made into a café or a business ran by people with special needs and particularly on the autism spectrum disorder. There have been many articles about people who are on the spectrum and families running in porta t businesses across the country, everything from popcorn to a café. We have an opportunity before us, and I cannot let this one go by.
