This majestic line of poplars has graced land adjacent to the historic Queensgate  Allotments in Beverley, East Yorkshire for decades and the trees are a much-loved feature.  Sadly, they are at imminent risk of being felled as the landowner wants to develop the land.  The loss of mature trees would not only be detrimental to the character of this part of Beverley but would also be an irreplaceable loss for the bats, birds and insects which use them.
