Following the Bayfront Park Board meeting this week, Miami city commissioners Carollo and Russell agreed to negotiate the future of Bayfront Park events with Downtown Miami residents, represented by the Miami Downtown Neighbors Alliance (DNA) and special counsel Sam Dubbin, a principal in the law firm Dubbin & Kravetz, LLP. At the Board meeting this week, DNA President Cristina Palomo spoke up about how to strike the right balance between quality of life for the residents, successful events for promoters, and revenue for the park. The DNA presented a list of demands that included limits on the number of events, setup and cleanup time, noise levels, event hours, street closures and alcohol sale.
