The Indiana Department of Transportation has proposed closing off access at 256th and US 31.   This will limit direct access to Hamilton Heights Schools as well as Jackson and Adams Townships.   Closing access will increase emergency response times to accidents on 31, as well as neighboring departments assisting in other areas.  In the event of a large incident at Hamilton Heights schools, many miles will be added to the emergency responders.  Increased response times will lead to more damage, injuries or loss of life.  We need access at 256th and US31 to remain open.
