GOOD NEWS: a chance to put our case directly to the YMCA
Julie-Ann Campbell MP's office has confirmed that Chris Barlow from the YMCA is meeting with her on Tuesday 3 November. Our questions about a possible successor provider and next year's kindy enrolments will be put in front of her.
The centre is still scheduled to close on 18 December. No agreement to save it has been reached, but we have an opportunity, and I'm giving it everything I've got.
By Monday 2 November, we want to show how many families and educators would support the centre continuing under another provider.
Here's how you can help:
- SHARE THIS PETITION. Send it directly to family, friends and local contacts. Ask them to sign AND pass it on. If you've already signed, sharing again is the biggest help.
- TELL US IF YOU WOULD STAY. If your family would consider enrolling under a new provider, complete our interest form. Even if you've arranged backup care, your interest still matters. Educators who would consider staying are also encouraged to register their interest.
- SIGN THE COUNCIL PETITION TOO. Brisbane City Council owns the site, and our separate petition on Council's own website is live until 9 November. It's the one a councillor can present at a Council meeting. Go to epetitions.brisbane.qld.gov.au and search "Acacia Ridge". Full name and address are needed, so it counts.

I believe this community can give the centre a real chance. Please help us show the support behind it before Tuesday's meeting.
