The Issue

Save 7DS: Origin – Make the Game Fair for Free-to-Play Players

We are creating this petition because we care about 7DS: Origin and want to see the game succeed.

We are not asking Netmarble to make the game easy.

We are asking for the game to be fair, rewarding and enjoyable for everyone, including Free-to-Play and low-spending players.

Right now, many players feel that 7DS: Origin is moving increasingly toward a Pay-to-Win model, while progression is becoming slower, more expensive and heavily dependent on RNG.

What is happening?

Too few keys and rewards

The amount of keys available to players is not enough for the current amount of content.

The Moospit Boss costs 80 keys, while the rewards do not feel proportional to that cost.

The new Transcendence Boss also requires a huge amount of resources while providing limited rewards.

Once players complete the main story and side content, there is also very little meaningful Endgame content left to play.

Pulls are too difficult

Free pull fragments are too limited and character drop rates feel extremely low.

Players can spend hundreds of pulls without obtaining the characters or progression they are aiming for.

This creates a system where spending money becomes increasingly important for progression.

Taranis & Shaakera

The Taranis & Shaakera Assault is heavily dependent on RNG.

Players only receive two keys per week, yet completing a full equipment set can take weeks because the required pieces may simply not drop.

Waiting an entire week just to receive another two attempts is frustrating and does not feel rewarding.

Enchantments and Engravings

The RNG surrounding Legendary Enchantments and engraving bonuses has become excessive.

It is possible to consume huge amounts of materials without receiving the bonus you actually need.

Using around 100 Legendary Enchantments without getting the desired bonus is an example of how frustrating this system can become.

Players need some form of protection against extreme RNG, such as:

Pity systems
Rerolls
Selectable bonuses
Guaranteed rewards after a certain number of failed attempts
Double Needle

The Double Needle engraving system also appears to have a progression issue where the level can move backwards despite consuming resources.

If this is a bug, it needs to be investigated and fixed.

PC controls

The game also needs full keyboard key customization.

Players use different keyboard layouts around the world, and being unable to properly remap controls creates unnecessary problems for PC players.

What we are asking Netmarble to change

We are asking Netmarble and the 7DS: Origin development team to:

1. Increase the amount of keys and meaningful rewards available to players.

2. Increase free pull fragments and improve character acquisition systems.

3. Improve Taranis & Shaakera drop rates or introduce a guaranteed way to obtain missing equipment pieces.

4. Reduce the impact of extreme RNG on Enchantments and Engravings.

5. Introduce pity, reroll or selectable-bonus systems for progression.

6. Reduce excessive engraving upgrade costs.

7. Investigate and fix the Double Needle progression issue.

8. Add more meaningful and repeatable Endgame content.

9. Add full keyboard key customization on PC.

Why this matters

A Free-to-Play player should still be able to make meaningful progress through time, effort and dedication.

Spending money can provide convenience and faster progression.

It should not feel like the only realistic way to keep up.

Players have jobs, bills, families and real-life responsibilities. Not everyone can afford to spend large amounts of money on a game.

We believe that a healthy Free-to-Play system should reward players for playing the game, not make them feel forced to spend.

And this is not just one player’s opinion.

Players are discussing these problems across the community, and even partner streamers have expressed frustration with the current state of the game during their livestreams.

The community is speaking. We are asking Netmarble to listen.

We still believe in 7DS: Origin

We are signing this petition because we want the game to succeed.

We want more content.

We want better progression.

We want rewarding Endgame activities.

We want to keep playing.

But most importantly:

We want to enjoy the game without feeling forced to spend money.

7DS: Origin has enormous potential.

Please don’t wait until frustrated players leave before making changes.

Netmarble, listen to your players.

Make 7DS: Origin fair again.

Sign this petition if you want a better and more rewarding 7DS: Origin.
