Hope you all have been well. Thanks so much for signing our petition to Save Carlton Way!

Here's an update:

1. Our Save Carlton Way Petition now has 297 signatures! Please share and promote on your social media accounts.

2.  Our IG has 51 followers. Please follow us on Instagram @carltonserranotenants

3.  Please attend the East Hollywood Tenants Union meeting this Saturday June 7th at Lemon Grove Park in East Hollywood from 2-4pm. We need help to fight this development, EHTU are offering to team up with us. Lemon Grove Rec Center: 4959 Lemon Grove Ave, LA 90029

4, Noemi has interviewed the 94 year old Carlton Way tenant, Maria Victorina Ramos.  We will be editing and posting some video clips of this powerful interview on social media very soon.

5.  We are discussing organizing an in-person protest. Please stay tuned.

6. It seems the oak trees on the south side of Carlton Way are protected. We are doing research to see if we can address the Community Forest Advisory Committee about the threat to the street tree oaks. https://dpw.lacity.gov/commissioners-boardroom/community-forest-advisory-committee

7. We will file an appeal as soon as we receive the letter of determination from City Hall. We are discussing a possible strategy of filing multiple appeals.
