As Hawai'i Island Pets Alive wraps up the 1st week of our Petition launch, we start with a big MAHALO ('thank you') to everyone who has supported this mission of building an effective Animal Control agency that focuses on progress!  One that strives for lifesaving success, putting an end to the killing of animals in shelters, and working with the community!  

We are now putting out a CALL TO ACTION . . . as our elections are right around the corner . . . and your voice will be louder than ever!  You are meant to be heard.  We've made it convenient for you to contact the decision-makers of our Petition Demands.  Under the Files section of our FaceBook page, you'll find a document titled "Sample Letter for County Contacts".  Feel free to use this as a launch pad (courtesy of one of our supporters who has already taken this step!).

By sharing with your friends and other contacts we've reached over 600 signatures . . . and, we've yet to promote outside our circle of friends.  Again, we thank you for signing, sharing and contacting the decision-makers.  You ARE part of the solution!
