Waiting on City Manager Response to Mr. Wilson

Mr. Wilson Reply:

Dear Mr. Monahan,

Mr. Van Johnson, Mrs. Edna Jackson and Mr. Chester Ellis have maintained throughout, that this property was not even owned by the City of Savannah, but, instead belonged to CSX Railroad. I have the emails. CSX legal department ultimately asked Van and Edna to "Cease and Desist" telling that lie.  I have been vigilant in addressing this issue since 2012, when I purchased a home in close vicinity to the site. I noticed that the land (13 acres of it) had been sold to an intermediary for $750,000.00 then sold to the City of Savannah 6 months later for $2,200,000.00. Please ascertain the previous statement; as I am capable of ascertaining that as well, even though there has recently been a parcel combination. Even after this, Van Johnson lied and told us that it belonged to CSX. Edna and Chester did the same. They have misrepresented this debacle for years now. I have emails proving it.

Your statement: "Unless the City Council wants to forfeit millions of dollars in lost construction and subject itself to multiple lawsuits from contractors, the Public Works Complex project must move forward." ; is not predicated on the health concerns of our community, nor the noise and traffic pollution and intrusion. I do not put that money over the concerns of my community, and am of the opinion that those concerns can be addressed to mutual satisfaction.

I await your reply. Then I will forward the emails which were sent by Van Johnson.

There has been substantial crookedness in this whole process. I think that the Governor and DOJ should be in the loop.

Best regards,

Louis E. Wilson, Sr.
