To whom it may concern

I as many others have purchased an office 365 subscription as well as multiple devices with OneDrive promotional storage. For me I already own office and there was no real need to purchase office 365 for office, rather I purchased it for the Onedrive storage. At the Microsoft Store and multiple places promoted “Unlimited” storage. I am lucky that I have not stored more than the 1TB labeled. However I expected not to worry about it since it was Unlimited.

You have recently stated that you will be changing all Onedrive accounts to meet new quotas. Quotas that are really low. I would understand if this was for all new users, and maybe if you made a more expensive “unlimited” or 50TB option. However this change is going to affect me and all of your users that have bought into your ecosystem. Windows Phones, Windows tablets, Surface, and all windows 8 and 10 users.

Please reconsider and have those users that did not abuse storage keep their current “unlimited” status. Let all free users keeps the data that you promised them. Then set policies that are clear so that we can follow them. Your comments about users that uploaded movie collections are incorrect. I would not consider them abusing your plan as you called it “Unlimited”. The only ones that have abused anything is Microsoft; the trust of their users.

I hope you reconsider, not only is this bad for users like me. It is bad for the Onedrive brand, office 365 as a whole, and Microsoft as a serious company. You might as well discontinue Onedrive since others and I would not trust it.
