Today with the pushing of fierce attorneys and advocates, a young man with the same granted visa was RELEASED from detention. It was only by the grace of the pressure from the PEOPLE, that resulted in his freedom.
Alisson today, however, remains in detention.
That means when she sleeps, every 15 minutes she is awoken by flashlights being shined in her eyes.
That means that every morning at 630 she is awoken by banging on her door to report for a checkin for children.
That means she cannot choose her diet and she cannot participate in regular school.
That means that she is not happy. We watch her struggle every week.
She tries to be strong, but the reality is she is a child. She deserves better than detention. Please help us.
