As you may know by now, SAP finally released what was originally announced as PB15, but they named it as a maintenance release (PB12.6). http://scn.sap.com/community/developer-center/powerbuilder/blog/2014/08/12/powerbuilder-new-release-available What we were looking for when we asked SAP to release PowerBuilder 15 was a demonstration of commitment on SAP's part to the future of the product. To date, PowerBuilder has still apparently not been added to the SAP price list -- which means that no new customers can purchase it, only existing customers. We didn't get the major release we were looking for, and its not clear whether any of the roadmaps we were shown while PowerBuilder 15 were being discussed are still in effect. Since SAP does not move as fast as expected, some PB users raised an interesting alternative: what if Appeon would take over PowerBuilder?
