S BurkSanta Cruz, CA, United States
Nov 30, 2020

Plan to attend and write the planning commission by scrolling to the bottom of this email to the link on the web page to use the form to tell the planning commission what would you would like done in Santa Cruz to protect the existing neighborhoods from more traffic and to secure enough water for current residents in drought years. Let them know buildings like the project proposed on 831 Water St is too large for the lot and for the planning commission to advise the developer to purpose a project smaller in size.

Assure the planning commission of their need to protect the existing neighborhoods and businesses along the main transportation corridors by keeping buildings over 3 stories in the downtown area of Santa Cruz. Tell the planning commission you do not want them to approve buildings that will cast shade on existing homes. Also, advise them balconies that are above structures and rooftop living areas should be counted as an additional floor. Speak up now before it is too late. Stay involved. Take action.  Link to comment form: https://www.cityofsantacruz.com/government/city-departments/planning-and-community-development/public-hearing-bodies-commissions/planning-commission
