Dear Community that cares about Santa Cruz, On Tues., February 14th (Yes, Valentine's Day, I recommend celebrating early) there will be a meeting with the Santa Cruz City Council in which an update from the committee working on the plans will be presented. These plans include the re-zoning for the streets of Soquel Ave. and Water St. in Santa Cruz. It would be wise if many of the 896 people that have signed the change.org petition attend in person the Santa Cruz City Council meeting. The number of attendees can make a difference. We REALLY need a LARGE NUMBER to attend. There will be an opportunity for many of us to speak to the city council about the need to make sure the re-zoning of Soquel Ave and Water St. does not reach heights of 55 ft or 65 ft. Bring posters to hold so the city council knows our views. Meeting location: Santa Cruz City Hall, 809 Center St. Room 10, Santa Cruz, CA 95060. Time will be either 2:30 pm or 7:00 pm.
