Important meeting to attend! Parking changes to be discussed. The Santa Cruz Corridor Advisory Committee would like to change the parking plan. They are modeling the changes after the plan utilized by the city of Pasadena, California. (Yes, Pasadena, Calif. where the Rose Parade
is annually!) Pasadena has a population of 140,881 per the census Pasadena (city) QuickFacts from the US Census Bureau http://quickfacts.census.gov/qfd/index.html
The Population of Pasadena is over twice the size of Santa Cruz's population of 63,364.
Pasadena has 21 Large Parking Lots and 8 of them are Parking structures and all within a block of the Commercial Corridor.
There are also 10 locations where there is valet parking.
Attending the meeting will help to show the Corridor Committee that the citizens of Santa Cruz care about what happens in our town. Being there matters!
