Good News!

Thanks to thousands of petition signers, Measure O is on the November ballot in the City of Santa Cruz. It will:

1. Offer a permanent home for the Farmers Market at its current location.
2. Require development of affordable housing on upper floors on 2.5 acres of City parking lots Downtown, resulting in twice the housing of the City's plan.
3. Prioritize renovation of the Downtown Library at its location in the Civic Center.
4. Prevent the construction of a large parking structure Downtown. City consultants determined the structure is unnecessary, but the City has ignored that recommendation.
5. Use future parking revenue surpluses for affordable housing.
