Firstly we would like to thank each of you that signed the petition and to those of you that took the time to contact us directly, attended the planning site visits and the Planning Committee in December and the Council meeting on 12 January.
Despite our opposition to the proposed advertising hoarding on Ray Hall Lane the plans were approved by the Planning Committee on 16 December and then by Full Council on 12 January. At each of these meetings we spoke in opposition to these plans to represent your views but unfortunately the plans were voted though.
We are disappointed with this result as we did everything we possibly could to get the plans rejected. Like many of you we firmly believe the Council has made a mistake in granting this application. We will continue to monitor the impact of this scheme, if you are adversely impacted in the future, whether it be by an increase in anti-social behaviour or you have experienced a detrimental impact to road safety please let us know. We will take any opportunity possible to overturn this decision.
If you would like to discuss this, or any other matter please get in touch with one of us, we will always do our best to represent you.
