We need everyone to show up this TUESDAY at 5pm
Sandia Pueblo has asked the Bernalillo County Commission to pass a resolution supporting the transfer of nearly 10,000 acres of public land out of U.S. Forest Service management and into trust for the Pueblo, making it part of the Sandia Reservation.
We don't know if the resolution will be on the Tuesday agenda but we can’t let this resolution pass without strong public opposition. Please show up this TUESDAY to tell commissioners why the Sandias matter to you.

The Sandias have always been a place where different histories, values, and communities come together. We support protecting Sandia Pueblo’s cultural heritage while preserving the public access, Wilderness protections, and recreational opportunities guaranteed under the 2003 Act.
Ask commissioners to oppose the resolution and support solutions that:
- Keep the land under U.S. Forest Service management.
- Preserve the Sandia Mountain Wilderness designation.
- Protect public access and recreation.
- Address the Pueblo’s concerns within the balanced 2003 framework.

Speak from your heart and ask the commissioners to oppose the land transfer and consider its potential consequences for Albuquerque—including impacts on public access, recreation, tourism, and our regional economy.
