Petition updateStop the Ban and Restrictions of Legal Cannabis in SLO County
Count Down - Time to Make a Call!

SLO County Cannabis Business Association

Nov 2, 2017
Greetings fellow cannabis supporters,
Thank you for answering our call to action by signing this petition. Unfortunately, we're not the only county in California to be experiencing lack of support from elected officials. It would seem that the voters are being denied what they've ask for in the way of safe and legal access to cannabis. Is it lack of understanding, fear, prejudice or discrimination? Whatever their motivations, we the people still have the power and the voice. We need to stay focused, continue to organize and be heard.
Please continue to contact your local leadership and express to them the importance of walk-in store front locations that provide safe access for consumers who have asked to be able to purchase cannabis from regulated and legal cannabis businesses. Encourage them to have an open application procedure that encourages businesses to participate in the regulated market, not the illegal black market.
So far Paso Robes, Atascadero, and Pismo Beach have banned all commercial cannabis cultivation, storefront and non-storefront retail and manufacturing. If SLO County bans these license types in the unincorporated areas as well, there will be NO access anywhere in the North County including all along the coast with the exception of Grover Beach. How does this provide safe & legal access for consumers? Do not let this leadership fail us. They must align with state law and provide a pathway for businesses to become state licensed and to be able to continue to provide consumers access to these products.
