Books are the heart of any academic library and should remain so. The library collection is a repository of our cultural heritage and must be preserved for future generations of faculty and students. If you believe in the value of books, the importance of being able conveniently to browse the shelves, and the necessity of preserving our literary heritage, please indicate your support for the campaign to Save Our University Library (SOUL!). Your support and comments are welcome and will be passed to the SJSU Academic Senate, which is in the best position to stop this plan. Please indicate if you are an SJSU faculty member, staff member, student, alum, or simply a person who loves books.
