We are asking the city of San Francisco to remove the Christopher Columbus Statue, that sits beneath Coit Tower. This is a symbol that represents the horrific acts of violence and slavery.

Over 500 years after he "discovered" the New World, beginning centuries of exploitation and colonization of the Americas, Christopher Columbus is sadly still honored with a federal holiday and statues across America.

In 2018 The City of San Francisco made the change from celebrating Christopher Columbus Day to celebrating Indigenous Peoples Day. Let’s take another step forward and remove this symbol of genocide.
