Help Saving First America Born Giant Panda - Hua Mei

Help Saving First America Born Giant Panda - Hua Mei
The Issue
Hua-Mei, the first American-born giant panda to survive to adulthood, is now living in the Shanghai Wild Animal Park, China. The Shanghai Wild Animal Park is a notorious zoo where five giant pandas have died in a ten year period. Hua-Mei is not thriving in this harsh environment and is showing stereotypic behavior that is not observed in wild pandas or in captive pandas in good zoo environments. We ask that you pay attention to Hua-Mei’s living conditions and this developing story, and please support our efforts to have Hua-Mei moved back to the breeding colony at Bi Feng Xia, Sichuan.
