We're here at the Apple Valley Animal Shelter(AVAS) in the City of Apple Valley, CA. They are High-winds today, but we're not going to let that deter us from supporting the animals in the care at AVAS. Please join us tonight at the Apple Valley City Council meeting at 6:30 pm and let them know that their continued lack of transparency and unwillingness to work with animal rescues in a timely manner is not only against the law but unethical.

What is happening to the animals in their care is unacceptable. As we continue to protest, we've learned more and more stories of the abuses from leadership at this facility. Don't get us wrong, we're all for the animals. We are also for oversight of California animal control facilities for the exact reasons mentioned above. 

This specific shelter has been killing thousands of animals every six months and is staffing up to kill more. 

There are animal shelters in California that haven't killed animals in years. However, due to poor management at this facility, kill rates continue to be some of the highest in the nation. 

Please join us tonight at the City Council meeting and share with them your concerns regarding the care of these animals.
