Update for Sheba:  Stay of Execution until 11/20/19 - Sheba is STILL in Devore and will remain there if the staff at Devore have their way. They are fighting this tooth and nail and documents provided CLEARLY show that because the OWNER did not comply with their summons, they are more than willing to punish Sheba by taking her life to teach her owner a lesson. It's really quite shocking to see several people with that mindset!

Update from KARES:

Aloha Everyone - I want to provide an official update on Sheba's status as there appears to be misinformation or confusion as to the latest news.

KARES (Kohala Animal Relocation and Education Services) on the Big Island of Hawaii was contacted by someone who had come across Sheba's case late last week. KARES retained Geordie Duckler who KARES has worked with in the past. He will be handling every detail for Jose and Sheba. There is no need to collect any monies for impounding fees. Our attorney is negotiating these fees. The only money to be collected is for present and future attorney's fees which needs to be donated directly to KARES. Sheba's life has not been spared yet, we have a stay of execution until November 20th. Unfortunately, Sheba is not out of the Devore shelter and must continue to stay there until November 20th when her fate will be decided.

Our attorney Geordie has a lot of work yet to do for Jose and Sheba. Keep in mind anything you do with good intentions to help may very well impair the work of Sheba's attorney. Please let Geordie do the job he's paid for. Sit tight and wait for the update and full report Geordie promises to get to us tomorrow.

We have secured a rescue organization to take Sheba when needed.
