NOTE THIS SITUATION HAPPENED IN APRIL 2017 AND IS STILL HAPPENING TODAY! There is a very serious situation going on at the Devore Animal Facility in our county right now today! (SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA) The acting facility supervisor Greg Beck killed 14 dogs many on their first day of being available within hours of showing up on the list. He refuses to extend dogs for rescues to get them. He starts killing around noon which gives the rescues and adopters NO time to even see them or to make it to the shelter in time to save them. He is facilitating making as many dogs as possible "rescue only" with no formal evaluation as a means to explain away or provide an excuse for escalation of killing. Greg Beck is unstable and needs to be removed immediately from this position. His boss, Brian Cronin has done nothing to stop this. Greg Beck is back with a vengeance and is getting away with it. Greg Beck was apparently ordered after a Grand Jury investigation in 2012 to work with the rescue community. Many of us believe this is his "I will show you" retaliation against being forced to work with rescuers by killing as many animals as possible - he does this killing in the early morning hours.
