Until the end of 2015, almost the majority of monitors were produced glossy by companies. Thus, the monitors were able to give more vivid and more realistic colors.

When we come to the 2020s, it is almost impossible to find glossy monitors or buy glossy monitors that have adapted to technology because there are hardly any glossy monitors in the monitor market anymore or they are old.

I almost spent the last 2-3 weeks looking for a glossy monitor, but I was completely frustrated. The monitors I found were either old or no longer available.

So what did these monitors leave their place to?

Of course, whether we all know this or not, it has been left to a strange technology called "Anti Glare/Matte(3H)" that makes the screen look matte to us.

However, most of us who are aware -especially software developers or graphic designers- want to prefer a glossy screen instead of a matte screen, and some even have to use OLED TVs because they cannot find a glossy monitor.

Of course I know the difference between glossy monitors and matte monitors, glossy monitors reflect so much and it can seem almost impossible to focus. However, we like the brightness of monitors for home use, and that's not even a problem for most of us.

There are also many people who love matte monitors, but I have a few suggestions to the screen manufacturers or panel manufacturers.

Since I see a lot of people wanting glossy monitors on the internet, I want to make our voice heard both for myself and for them, and I want to talk about a few things to the manufacturers.

Please give buyers a choice when a monitor is produced. It may be that the same monitor model has two different displays, it seems possible to leave the monitor preference to the buyer by using the M or G abbreviation of the same model.

Believe me, it will be very popular and people will notice the glossy monitors and they will like it very much.

I hope one day glossy monitors will return back to market and people can be happy to see glossy monitors.
