Petition update

Replacement App for Android Users.

Peter Walker

Oct 13, 2016 — The Android app will continue to work for transferring pictures to your phone in direct mode. You then need to use an alternative service like DropBox to upload your pictures. However, GeoTagging no longer works.

Those that upgrade to a new Android phone will find that since have switched off their servers, you can still download the official eye-fi app, but no longer login and without logging in, you cannot use it.

Luckily, there is an alternative that I have just been testing. It is a third-party app for Android devices that in my opinion, is actually better than the app. It allows you to automatically transfer pictures to your phone/tablet and automatically geotag the pictures.
The pro upgrade even allows you to upload your pictures as well.
I have installed and tested it and it works well.
The author has abandoned the app to do other things, but that does not really matter as it is already finished and working. It is available for a low one-time fee on Google Play. It is called MoPhotos.

You need to uninstall the official app before installing this.
