Safer Road construction- We need EMERGENCY LANES!!  Move the K-rail.  Almost daily peoples lives of the high desert, along with people passing through, are literally being turned upside down, and placed in jeopardy.  Serious if not fatal wrecks occur almost daily since the road construction from Hesperia to Victorville , CA.    The road construction through the high desert Victor valley freeway, has created an extremely unsafe driving environment.   For the last few years, there has been more crazy accidents than I’ve ever seen in over 25 yrs up here.   The cops barely patrol the 15 freeway.  They have k-rail up to the lane with zero room for error, which is launching people onto the other side, or up and flipping them over causing serious and deadly wrecks SEVERAL TIMES A WEAK.  On the other side of the freeway, #4 lane, they put a chain-link fence and a ditch, so if you go off the freeway it launches you onto Mariposa and oncoming traffic and vice versa. 
More people moved up here than our roads can accommodate. Most commute down into the I.E. for work, school and medical.  People are literally flipping out and dying because of their faulty road construction design.  Caltrans need to change the road construction and allow people room for error.  We cannot control how people are driving, we have little to no CHP presence.   We need the k-rail moved away from the fast lane #1 and allow for an emergency lane the entire way on both sides.  Perhaps that means they can only do one side at a time - We don’t care!!  If someone gets a flat tire, there’s debris in the road, or someone hits their brakes in front of you or crosses the line, there is nowhere to go but up the K rail or into the rear of the car in front of you.

The 15 frwy/ cajon pass has become far too treacherous and it’s filled with student drivers going to the University of San Bernardino, daily commuters, road ragers from construction and speeders coming to and from Vegas. . . NOT TO MENTION The intoxicated!! Where are the CHP??! Not on the 15 because for THEM, it’s too dangerous!   WE DEMAND EMERGENCY LANES!!
