I started this petition because every parent wants their child to be safe at school. Right now, many BC schools have doors that can be opened by anyone during the day. Even a small delay in controlling access can make a huge difference.

That’s why MLA Jordan Kealy introduced Bill 234 – The School Amendment Act, 2026, which would require exterior doors to stay locked during school hours, with monitored entry through the main office.
