Petition updateStop every road in London having a 20mph Speed limitKeep sharing, mind the road closures

Hi everyone. We've had a couple of hundred more join us recently but we need more.

SInce the pandemic hit, my focus has changed a bit from what speed we need to go on London's roads to whether we can keep the majority of them open for current and future generations to use.

There's a real risk that if you don't speak up now, whole sections of London will be inaccessible by personal mobility and you will be priced off the road completely.

The fight for 30mph is winnable at least on main roads as we have seen in Birmingham. I have put in a formal objection to the Westminster borough roads 20mph proposal.

Outer London is still winnable for sure. We need advocates to engage with Conservative run councils (who are more open to discussions) that have yet to go 20mph.

The many 'local cycling campaigns' are well organised and without support from the silent majority they could win the democratic debate through loud volume rather than numbers. Don't let them and be sure to contact your local councillor and MP to make your views known that the anti personal mobility crusade has gone too far.

Also I have been very active on Twitter. We need more people to 'pile on' to the various cyclists and local councillors who are taking this debate the wrong way. Follow @jamesburdass @the_abd @Drivers_London !
