Remember I wrote to you a few months ago about a campaign to save human rights from Brexit? Well, it’s happening. The campaign launches next week, on Thursday, 16 February from 6.30pm at a rally at the Free Word Centre (60 Farringdon Road, London EC1R 3GA). This is a crucial moment for us as Parliament is debating a law moving us closer to leaving the EU. At the rally we’ll have short speeches from: Actor and activist Sam West Women’s rights campaigner Caroline Criado-Perez Dr Fergal Davis constitutional law expert from King’s College London Emma Hughes environmental activist at Platform Sashy Nathan director of advocacy at 89up Carly Nyst digital rights campaigner At the end we’ll be outlining the campaign’s BIG IDEA to put human rights at the top of Parliament’s agenda. It’s going to be MASSIVE. Join us for the rally and afterwards we’ve got lots of time for drinks to keep the conversation flowing. A lot of people still feel helpless about this process but there are still ways to fight for the best possible outcome from a dire situation. This rally will be an opportunity to meet motivated people, share ideas and plan what we can do to protect human rights from Brexit.
