Thank you for your continued support of our campaign for affordable housing for care and support workers.

Despite the motion supporting this being passed unanimously by the London Assembly, we are yet to have confirmation from Sadiq Khan that this will go ahead. We hope to hear from his office soon and will of course keep you updated on our progress.

In the meantime, we would greatly appreciate your help with another issue.

During the pandemic, care workers in Waltham Forest were provided with free parking permits. This allowed them to reach more clients and deliver essential support to those that require it.  A few months ago, however, this was revoked.

This is having a huge impact on both care workers and those we support. Care workers are reporting having to choose between delivering essential support or risking a parking fine amounting to nearly their entire daily take-home pay.

What we are asking is simple and reasonable: we want Waltham Forest to reinstate free parking for care workers allowing us to deliver essential care and support without risking parking fines.

If you can sign and share our petition we would really appreciate it and hopefully, together we can get Waltham Forest to do the right thing!
