Hello Campaigners

A super quick, fly-by update...

Judgement Day fast approaches. A decision from the Planning Inspector Joanna Gilbert is expected any day now.

Only last week, I found out that Rockwell Property had made a last minute application to have  the Inspector sidelined from ruling on the appeal altogether.  The company had asked for the decision to be made by the Secretary of State for Housing Steve Reed. Maybe they felt they had a better chance if it was a "political" decision.

However, the government dismissed the request and refused to "recover" the appeal.  This was one further set back for Rockwell.  So far, The People, the Council and the Mayor have thrown out their 29-storey scheme.

Now it is totally down to Ms Gilbert.  If she throws the appeal in the river, it could spell the end of One Battersea Bridge - although the one last remaining challenge could be a judicial review.

If you want to hear Breaking News of the Inspector's decision, please visit The Chelsea Citizen's Instagram page HERE. The news will go there first.  Later, please turn to TCC website HERE. A full series of articles will be written by me and reporter JOHN COOKSON, including all the reaction from celebrities, the leading civic societies, as well as the diligent campaigners who have been fighting this appalling planning application for TWO LONG YEARS.

Keep everything crossed. RM
