Hello Fine Campaigners

Well, today is our hyper-local D-Day. It is unlikely to be the end, but perhaps it is the end of the beginning. 

The rock stars of the Planning Applications Committee will take centre stage and vote on Promontoria-Cerberus-Rockwell-Farells-BVI-Etc-Zzz-Etc's planning application to "regenerate" - Ha! - Glassmill into ... well, you know the rest.

The committee has been strongly advised by council officers in a 131-page report - enthusiasts alight here - to REFUSE the application. It would be extraordinary if Chairman Cllr Tony Belton and his team vote against that clear advice and approve the planning application, but we shall see.

Maybe they will bow to Rockwell and be "builders, not blockers" (©Nicholas Mee, MD). Or did mean, "bankers, not builders"?

The meeting starts at 7.30pm at Wandsworth Council Town Hall, SW18 2PU and promoters are expecting a sell out venue. 

Campaigners are gathering by the fountain from 6.45pm for a press photo call.
