Hello Campaigners

I am relaying news that Rockwell - the company behind One Battersea Bridge, for any late-comers - has excitedly announced that it has started selling properties for its other big south west London project.

Indeed, they have completed an "global" tour to sell Hurlingham Waterfront (northside of Wandsworth Bridge) in Europe, Turkey, Asia, and Saudi Arabia.

It is worth noting that this development includes NO social rent housing. This is no fault of Rockwell's. I was told by an executive there that they "inherited" the planning permission, which (incomprehensibly) came with NO affordable housing requirements set by H&F Council. If that is true, it begs the question - WHY?

Now, of course, any public-spirited property developer might have seen this as remiss in this day and age, and added some social rent themselves. But all pleas to do that were drowned out by the sound of rubbing hands and bantz.

At least we know for sure that "269 beautifully designed apartments, complete with sustainably planted gardens" will more than likely go to overseas investors who will no doubt bring a lot to the Fulham community.

If you were in any doubt, this is the company behind what some are calling "The Toxic Tower" of Battersea Bridge.

Yours

RMc

THE FULL POST BY TEAM ROCKWELL

Throughout November the Rockwell team embarked on an extensive global tour across Europe and Asia. Alongside Savills and Piccadilly Estates, Rockwell exhibited Hurlingham Waterfront at events in Turkey (Ankara and Istanbul), before heading on to Singapore to showcase the project with Savills and Knight Frank. The team also stopped in Riyadh along the way to attend Cityscape, one of the world’s leading real estate events with a focus on shaping the future of real estate through sustainable solutions and innovation.

In Turkey and Singapore, Rockwell provided prospective buyers with an insight into what Hurlingham Waterfront in South West London has to offer residents and guests, showcasing the 3.2 acre development with an exquisitely crafted scale model and interactive displays.

Hurlingham Waterfront is a riverside development which will offer 269 beautifully designed apartments, complete with sustainably planted gardens. Set within one of London’s most sought-after postcodes, SW6, the development combines outstanding spaces to work, exercise and unwind in, with close proximity to some of London’s finest shops, restaurants, bars, galleries and green spaces.

First completions of Hurlingham Waterfront are expected in Q4 2025.
