Hello All
I simply wanted to draw your attention to an interview with yours truly in The Times newspaper today. It is in the Bricks & Mortar property section.
Please buy the paper and spread the word about the article.
You can also find a longer version online at THIS link. In this section, it deals with the dodgy issue of the "fake letters" Rockwell has solicited to impact the Comments section of the planning portal.
My thanks to The Times' assistant property editor Melissa York who visited me a few weeks ago and spent a considerable amount of time talking to me and being guided around the area. She has done a great job with the feature. Journalism MATTERS!
I will also be updating the Campaigns page of my website with the cuttings later. You will be able to find it all here.
I attended last weekend's 'Show and Tell' by Rockwell. As predicted here long ago, the developer has now reduced the height of the tower to 28 storeys. I spoke with the lead Farrell's architect and several of Rockwell's executives and there is not one shred of understanding about the negativity surrounding this project. As far as they are all concerned, it is an amazing design that will bring nothing but good to Battersea. (I think they mean ££cash to its owner in Monaco and their bonuses).
This is going to be a long, hard fight and everyone needs to pull together. Think harder on ideas to expose the toxicity of this proposal from Rockwell. Think of contacts you can leverage - Central Government, GLA, TFL, Wandsworth Council, we need political power and will on our side to help stop this monstrosity. We all need to weigh in ...
Regards
Rob M.
