Due to this unexpected pandemic, COVID-19, I believe that students’ health and safety comes first before our assignments and grades. I am starting this petition so all students can focus on taking care of ourselves and those around us. Especially those with mental health issues who rely on daily routines and leaving the house to stay sane and now have to cope with adjusting to a more confined environment with little to no control of the situation. None of us signed up for online courses especially during a global pandemic. I don’t believe in canceling the rest of the semester as a whole however on a transcript, a pass or fail grade should be apparent so no one is strongly affected and has to deal with excess stress in this extreme situation.
