Earlier today, we received a letter from Rutland County Council stating they had accepted a request from The Cottesmore Hunt to use Catmose Car Park for their Boxing Day meet, just as they did last year. We're disappointed in and appalled by the decision, especially as only two days ago the Council announced that they had prosecuted a developer for illegally felling two ash trees. Some laws that protect biodiversity are respected by the Council, it seems, but not others. We're hugely grateful to everybody that's signed our petition so far; please continue to follow our updates, as we will keep pressing Rutland County Council to do the right thing for wildlife.
