• Do the RFU still have the Rugby code of ethics at heart?

Their only interest seems to be the Premier League and the National team, they are oblivious to any competition below this and in recent years have slashed funding massively from the Championship down to grass roots level while putting in eye watering increases in costs of England international games, the corporate dollar far out weighing the loyalty of any grass root supporter.

Their misguided view that “Ring fencing” the Premier League, shows the total lack of respect they have for the game and their continued pursuit of a Championship hybrid league with Premier league “A” teams shows how out of touch they are.

As fans of our local beloved Teams are we prepared to keep putting up with this total disregard from our governing body, are they actually fit for purpose or do we need a radical change of direction that focuses on bringing through new talent to our national team and our Leadership showing some loyalty to supporters at all levels of our game.

The reality is that grass roots Rugby is dying and youngsters are looking elsewhere and at other sports, the current situation is not sustainable but the RFU seem asleep to this and in reality, do not seem to care, it is a sad indictment on our ruling body and maybe they are more interested in wining and dining at HQ hospitality than they are in standing on a cold ground showing loyalty to their local Rugby club.

If like me you feel the same then please sign and share this petition, do not let the RFU steal our game, our Rugby, and our heritage by their continual pursuit to destroy it.

Action for change now.
